Have you considered travelling as a Personal Trainer?
Accountants, Engineers, Lawyers – they’re all encouraged to work overseas, and the list doesn’t exclude Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors. Traveling is a great way for a graduate to stand out from the crowd, says Daniel Hoy.
It’s also a great way to build up contacts all over the world while will help you move forward in your career.
Working as a Personal Trainer overseas can be a good way to expand your skills as you can learn from different fitness methods and trends. The experience you get could see you gaining years on other Trainers in a small amount of time. You can get exposed to new cultures, ideas, and people.
Working as a Fitness Instructor on a cruise ship is also a great option as this allows you to develop your skills that will make you a successful Personal Trainer, while you get to see the world.
Working on a cruise ship exposes you to lots of different people all at once, which means you develop your ability to get the best out of different personalities at an accelerated rate.
If you can keep your spending under control it’s a great way to save money too, which you can then use to fund your own personal training studio or gym when you’re back on dry land.
And you often work on ship for months at a time, and then have an extended period off, which means you can still work as a Personal Trainer when you’re at home.
